For the Go Borderless languages experience event, the brief was simple but exciting: make it fun. Hosted by the UQ School of Languages and Cultures, this event invites high school students to explore what studying a language has to offer them now and into the future. To resonate with this younger demographic, I leaned into a high-energy, vibrant aesthetic through the use of UQ’s secondary colour palette. I also added a retro flair by applying old school signage type treatments to UQ’s primary typeface Gotham. This gave the event assets a nostalgic and fun look that is currently trending among Gen Z.

I acknowledge the Turrbal people as the Traditional Owners of the land in which I live, work and create, and extend this respect to all First Nations peoples––including Elders past and present.
